Moment of Silence: Mr. and Mrs. Obama went before the White House, and the tinkling of a bell by a single guard of marines, has fallen silent in Washington and across the country. Obama has led the nation in a moment of silence Monday for victims of Arizona shooting, standing grimly with his wife, Michelle, head down, overlooking the South Lawn of the White House.

Most lawmakers remained in their home countries and districts.

Hundreds of employees gathered at the Congress of the Eastern Front of the Capitol Square mark the moment. Included a member who died in their own ranks, Gabriel M. Zimmerman, a representative of the community outreach director, Gabrielle Gifford’s, Mr. Zimmerman was to organize a essential meeting where the number of people contributed in itself, without much disquiet for public safety.

  • Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is great blog. A great read. Ill definitely be back.
